Playstation 3

I recently parted with a hefty wad of cash for a new PlayStation 3 along with James Bond: Quantum of Solace and Midnight Club: Los Angeles. It’s been a while since I played a games console, probably about 5 years since I last used my PS2 which is now gathering dust. I was in the market for a Blue-Ray player and a decent one would cost around £300, and for an extra £100 I could get a PlayStation 3 with a couple of games and accessories, easy choice really considering the PS3 plays Blue-Rays, up scales DVDs and is a games console.

James Bond: Quantum of Solace is a first person shoot-em up, you play James Bond (obviously) and perform various missions following the story line of Quantum of Solace, the online multi-player is also very challenging and fun. Midnight Club is a modified car arcade racer, not chavs in fiestas and saxos but hardcore modifying of already decent cars (a hobby of mine – well until my car got wrote off last week, another story)

James Bond: Quantum of Solace has to be my favourite game, it takes me back about 10 years to a teenager playing Goldeneye 64 on my Nintendo 64 for hours on end, except now it’s all new levels and objectives and in HD. It looks amazing. The challenges whilst some are easy the majority are quite the opposite, i currently have this game at 50% challenge completed and Midnight Club at around 2% (so you can easily see which game i play a lot more of).

Anyone who is in two minds whether or not to buy a Playstation 3, is definately go get one now! With Christmas coming up you may be able to get some good deals in the shops, don’t leave it too late otherwise there won’t be any in stock!
