Who Am I?
My name is Richard Turner as you may have already guessed, the purpose of this blog is to provide a virtual insight into my life, opinions, thoughts and beliefs. In short i am a 26 year old web application developer from Portsmouth, UK.
I started messing around on computers from an early age and soon developed a passion from using my Commodore 64 as a young boy to making my first website for my dad aged 16. I now develop applications in a wide range of languages, mainly dealing with PHP, ranging from simple email reports to full blown server monitoring solutions.
In my spare time i enjoy playing golf, working on my car and generally just chilling with mates and having a few drinks. I’m an avid sci-fi fan and not afraid to admit, yes i like Star Trek, Star Wars and Stargate, so what? It beats mainstream TV like X-Factor and soap operas anyday. I have a huge DVD collection (750+) comprising of many genres including westerns, action, comedies and obviously sci-fi. I am into all sorts of music ranging from Elvis to Drum and Bass / Hardcore depending on my mood.
